Mindful Magazine  A printed or digital magazine with useful information on mind-body practices and living mindfully.

Calm  This guided meditation app is an excellent way to build a daily practice. Additionally, there are features on this app that foster gratitude and awareness. 

Headspace  Another popular guided meditation app.

Meditation for Fidgety Skeptics  This book by Dan Harris addresses common misconceptions about meditating and provides practical instructions for starting a mediation practice. 

Free Meditation Apps

Mindfulness.com  With over 2,000 guided meditations from world-leading teachers, this app has much to offer both beginner and long-time meditators. 

Insight Timer  This app has a huge library of content: over 80,000 free guided meditations from over 10,000 teachers on topics like stress, relationships, healing, sleep, creativity, and more.

Smiling Mind  The not-for-profit app features hundreds of meditations, inc#luding ones that are 2 to 5 minutes long for a quick, mindful pause in your day.

UCLA Mindful  If all the research on mindfulness has persuaded you that you need to meditate, the UCLA Mindful app could be a good place to start.

Healthy Mind Program  This app is designed to help you develop the skills for a healthy mind—by strengthening mental focus, lowering stress, and growing resilience and compassion.

Journaling

Five Minute Journal A quick and easy way to build gratitude and positivity into our lives each day. This journal is available in print and digitally through the App Store. 

Habit Formation

Atomic Habits  An outstanding book that clearly explains habit formation. Specifically, how to develop good habits and how to get rid of bad ones. 

Tiny Habits  According to the author of this book, BJ Fogg, habits are best developed by focusing on small changes that can have positive results. 

Emotional Intelligence Habits This book offers a framework for increasing your emotional intelligence (EQ) via small habits that leads to big changes. 

Happiness

Build the Life You Want  This book presents ways to overcome life's challenges that leads to greater happiness. 

The Happiness Project  A book by Gretchen Rubin on the subject of happiness in which she presents ways we can have more of it in our lives. 

10% Happier  Link to a variety of resources including meditations, books, and podcasts created by Dan Harris. 

Self-Compassion and Gratitude  

Mindful Self-Compassion  Link to Chris Germer who is the author of The Mindful Path to Self-Compassion and is considered an expert on this subject. This website contains useful information and resources. 

Self-Compassion  A ground-breaking book by Kristen Neff that addresses the habit of self-judgment and how we can learn to be kinder to ourselves. 

Spirituality and Faith

A Return to Love  Written in 1978 by Marianne Williamson, this faith-based book challenges us to think and act differently. 

The Power of Now  Eckhart Tolle's book based on spiritual transformation.
